Equity investment in the acquisition of a portfolio of over 1,400 foreclosed single family homes in the Atlanta, GA metropolitan region. The business plan involved purchasing single family homes out of foreclosure, renovating them and leasing them up as part of a larger stabilized portfolio. As part of the deal, Shelbourne executed the first ever large-scale institutional loan in the fast-growing single family home aggregation space. The portfolio was sold to one of the largest worldwide real estate fund operators within the first twelve months of ownership.
